KARACHI, Aug 26: Five-year-old chestnut Yes Neighbour Yes is tipped to stretch his winning run should he grab the Phar Lap Stakes 2006 in the Summer Gymkhana race meeting at the Karachi Racecourse on Sunday.

He made amends by sprinting to a facile 11 lengths victory in the last meeting with Mohammad Essa in the saddle.

He is drawn alongside nine contenders in the seven furlongs sixth race of the programme which is restricted to thoroughbred horses in class III and IV. It is also the feature event of the day.

His likely challengers are Fantasia and The King Of Arab.

A card of eighth races, one going over seven furlongs, two six and the rest to five, has been drawn for the day.

The first race begins at 12.30noon.

His stable-mate chestnut Dil Phaink with a victory under his belt is also fancied to make it two-in-a-row. He edged out Queen Of Mirwa by four lengths in the last meeting.

He should be chased by Thanks Naeem and Countess Mah Again for the places.

If tried by connections, bay colt Jack In The Box should also repeat his winning feat. He was home by nine lengths with A. Aziz astride in the Independence Day meeting.

In all, 18 aspirants are in contention for honours and three of them Make Millions, Sher-e-Awan and Miss Millee should fight it out for places.

Three-year-old bay colt The Concord who had to be content with third place last week should return with flying colours. However, he has to overcome Hot Strides and Sahib-e-Alam.

If allowed to run on merit, six-year-old dark bay horse King Of The Field should make amends to his poor run by landing the opener. He has come down in handicap and should win hands down.

Three-year-old bay colt The Conqueror’s seems to be the form horse and should sprint to victory to make it two on trot.

Silent Love and Canon Ball are tipped to dominate their respective races. However, Chistian The Great and Al Zarrar have the ability to upset the apple cart.
