Advisory board abolished, directors sacked

By Our Sports Correspondent

LAHORE, Sept 7: Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has abolished its advisory board and sacked three directors to streamline the administrative structure of the federation. The advisory board was constituted by the previous PHF administration and current president PHF Zafarullah Jamali was one of its members.

“In order to streamline the PHF administrative structure for the purposes of expediency, economizing and keeping in view the autonomy of provincial hockey associations, it has been decided that Muhammad Shafique (director domestic hockey, South), M. Ikhlaq Usmani (director domestic hockey, North) and Lt-Col Zafar Ali Khan (director development) will cease to function with immediate effect,” said a PHF press release on Thursday.
