KARACHI, Oct 5: Six ships carrying palm oil, containers and general cargo are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where six ships, Hyundai Sprinterm, Y.M. Mondego, to unload and load containers, Patton-1, to offload and load general cargo, Manhattan Princess, to offload coal, Swat, to unload crude oil, and Olympics-1, to offload palm oil, were berthed after the departure of seven.

The ships, which departed included Thor Captain, APL Osaka, Oriental Bouquet, Hellas Endurance, Danuta, Fortune Spirit and Maya Princess.

Prex, Kota Merdesa, Y.M. Mondego, Bunga Delima, Patton-1, Swat and Olympics are due to sail out on Friday after loading export consignments.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was fairly active as the total tonnage rose to 0.106m tons comprising 14,204 tons of export cargo and 91,277 tons of import cargo.

The following ships are due on Friday: Gagasan Melaka, with 1,000 tons of palm oil, Maersk Arkansas, CMA CGM Victoria, Eric G. Gibson, and Kota Perkasa, with containers and Haje Khereh, with general cargo.
