FAISALABAD, Oct 11: DCO Azam Suleman has directed the officials concerned to do their utmost to make the Food Support Programme (FSP) a success.

He was addressing a meeting held here on Wednesday under his chair while EDO (R) Muhammad Ali Baloch, DFC Mubarik Ali, senior administrative officer Liaquat Chattha, DDOs (R) Syed Mubashir Hassan Shah, Muhammad Yaqub Khan, Mian Mohsin Rasheed, TMOs and other officials were also present on the occasion.

The DCO reviewed the progress of FSP coupons distribution at the union council level, sale of subsidised food items, the distribution of specified items at selected stores and other related matters.

He asked the officials concerned to make sure the uninterrupted supply of food items to the low-income segment of society. He warned that negligent officials would have to face the music.

Mr Suleman directed all DDO’s (R) to oversee the distribution of coupons and supply of food items through the selected stores in their respective areas and ensure implementation of the scheme.

DIRECTION: A local court on Wednesday ordered the registration of a case against the Sadar police SHO for not producing required official documents.

The judge directed the DPO to register a case against SHO Ghazanfar Gujjar as he did not bother to appear in the court despite repeated directions.

The case would be registered against the SHO under section 155 of Police Order 2002.
