KARACHI, Nov 18: Three container ships were accommodated berths at QICT during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Saturday.

Meanwhile, another ship carrying chemicals also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Berth occupancy fell to 50 per cent as only six ships, Maersk Arkansas, CMA CGM Simba and Sima Paya, Manyas-1, Genco Night and Milky Way, were occupying berths and busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, seeds and furnace oil.

A cargo volume of 71,345 tons comprising 45,990 tons of import cargo and 25,355 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailing was active as CMA CGM Simba, Sima Paya and Milky Way left the port.
