Hoeyenaars wins in qualifiers

ISLAMABAD, Nov 18: Tom Hoeyenaars of the Netherlands defeated Mamoon Rashid in straight sets on the opening day of the qualifying round of the Pakistan Open World squash championship at the Mushaf Squash Complex on Saturday.

Two Egyptians also won their matches while as many got byes.

The 16 players winning their matches will now figure in eight matches on Sunday (today).

Players winning on Sunday will qualify for the US$85,000 main draw which starts from Monday.
