LAHORE, Dec 30: Fancied chestnut colt, Nosha, ridden admirably by jockey Shahid Rehman galloped his seven rivals into the ground in the feature event to claim the Red Mountain Suria Resort Cup run over 1400m at the Racecourse on Saturday.

Owned by Gul Zareen Khan the colt had the cup won when he challenged front-runner Baker's Gal 200m still to go to take his career tally to five wins and two second places from seven starts. This was the fifth race of the day.

Jockey Shahid Rehman was seen in his peak form scoring a treble Saturday. A race later he piloted bay colt Tipu Sultan to win the Red Mountain Rediscover Life Cup contested over the distance of 1300m

Owned jointly by Munir Dar and Syed Parvaiz Hussain Shah, Tipu Sultan had the race won a long way out to register his maiden success. The colt ran bravely worth his name striding comfortably from the start till the finishing line. Earlier Shahid romped home on Byron in the third race of the day.

Byron, a three to one shot beat his stablemate Mutajil by a head, who returned lame.
