KARACH, Jan 15: Nine ships carrying jute bags, Chemicals and general cargo are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where 10 vessels were berthed: They are: Akili, to offload coal, Kama Bhhum, Wan Hai-311, Soon Fu, Oel Patriot, Mol Kauri, and Wester Moor to unload and load containers, Archon to load rice, Torm Ingeborg and Shalamar, oil tankers.

Sailing was also active as nine ships, Oel Esteem, Orient Independence, Soon Fu, Wan Hai-311, Kuo Chang, Kama Bhum, Effy-N and Al-Diyar departed on Mondaym, while Oel Patriot, Shalamar, Mol Kauri, Wester Moor and Torm Ingebrog, are due to sail out on Tuesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was fairly brisk where a total tonnage of 0.186m tons comprising 66,520 tons of export cargo, including 4,129 tons of rice and 0.120m tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following vessels are due on Tuesday: Bow Favour, with chemicals, Warbah, with highspeed diesel, Harmony, APL Jeddah, Corin Thaikos, with containers, Annika, with coal, Love Song, with general cargo and Darja Yog, with steel.
