Prisoner found dead
SIALKOT, Jan 15: A prisoner was found dead in his barrack in the district jail here on Monday morning. Some inmates alleged that Hafiz Mubashar Nisar, 27, was tortured. A civil judge thoroughly examined the body with a team of doctors and recommended autopsy. But, his parents refused to take any legal action. Later, the body was handed over to the family. Doctors and jail superintendent Intizar Wali Khan told newsmen that Hafiz Mubashar died of cardiac arrest. He was jailed on July 22, 2006, in a murder case.— Correspondent
