Atiq century seals Sialkot victory

LAHORE, Jan 15: An unbeaten century by opener Atiq-ur-Rehman helped reigning champions Sialkot to a crushing nine-wicket victory over Faisalabad in the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy Gold fixture at Jinnah Stadium on Monday.

Atiq slammed 108 off 154 balls as Sialkot, resuming at 144 for one, raced home by scoring 224 without further loss.

Together with Shahid Yousuf (38), Atiq, who hit 13 fours and two sixes, added 97 for the unbroken second-wicket partnership.
