Karachi Zone wins polo contest

KARACHI, Jan 15: A Karachi Zone polo outfit outplayed Malir Garrison in a thrilling polo contest held at the Malir Cantonment here on Sunday evening. The contest, held under the auspices of Pakistan Army as part of ‘Hamara Karachi’ celebrations, was inaugurated by Sindh Governor, Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ibad Khan, who was the chief guest on the occasion.

In the engrossing encounter, high level of polo skills were displayed by players of both the teams. The match was finally won by Karachi Zone 31-22, thanks to some fine scoring by Aziz Hayat Khan and Brigadier Asfandyar Patodi as Malir Garrison team went down fighting.
