Abbottabad turn tables on Hyderabad

KARACHI, Jan 15: Abbottabad snatched a dramatic four-wicket win against Hyderabad in the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy Silver League match at the Niaz Stadium on Monday. Abbottabad, beaten in four of their five matches while making first-class debut last season, made successful chase of a target of 252 in 34 overs and got home with five deliveries to spare after Hyderabad made a sporting declaration at 249 for six in the second innings.

Adnan Raees, the 25-year-old left-hander, once again led the way for the visitors with an 84-ball 86 to follow his 137 in the first innings.

Bilal Marwat (56 off 40 balls, five fours and one six) added 103 for the third wicket with Adnan who struck five fours and two sixes.

Wicket-keeper Ahmed Said also played an invaluable hand as he bludgeoned 41 off 27 balls.
