Hendy Springer will work as assistant to head coach Bennett King during tour. King's deputy, David Moore, is unable to make trip.West Indies will play four games in India between Jan 21 and 30, first in Nagpur. The series will be last for Brian Lara's side before they attempt to win World Cup on home soil.

Lloyd was most successful West Indies captain of all time and led them to victory in 1975 and 1979 World Cup finals.

Lara will again be looking to draw on his vast experience to help inspire team.
