LAHORE/MIANWALI, Jan 23: Police teams conducted several raids in Lahore and other districts in search of killers of additional advocate general Arif Bhinder and others and picked up a number of suspects and nominated accused.

Police believe that the suspects have been either in touch with the accused or are aware of their movements.

Sources said two young men arrested from Mianwali might be two of the 10 nominated accused.

A Lahore investigation police team arrested five people from Cantt. Sources said two of them might be the nominated accused.

On the information of Lahore police, raids were conducted in Mianwali, Sialkot, Sargodha, Rawalpindi, Pattoki, Sheikhupura and Muridke.

Sources said those arrested from Mianwali were Jajji and Usman. Their identity was however yet to be confirmed.

According to our Mianwali correspondent, two alleged killers of Arif Bhinder were arrested from Zalla on the Sargodha-Mianwali road.

On an information, DPO Akhtar Omer Hayat Laleka led a police team and patrolled the highway. A car heading towards Sagodha from Mianwali was made to stop. Two youths on board were taken into custody. During investigation they reportedly confessed to their involvement in the murder of Bhinder.

They reportedly told police that they had been in hiding in Sargodha and Mianwali since Jan 12.
