KARACHI, Jan 23: The inaugural National Under-17 Girls Inter Regional Cricket Championship will be staged in Hyderabad from Feb 2-10, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Tuesday.

Eleven regional school girls’ teams from across the country will be featuring in the championship, to be held under the auspices of the PCB.

In the meantime, the two-day trials to select Karachi Region school girls’ team will be held here at the National Stadium from Wednesday. The selected players have been invited to report to Zahid Ahmed at 10.00am.

These players are:

Kainat Imtiaz, Razmina Sultana, Sehar Rahim, Sobia Karim, Maria Karim, S Ariba Fatima, Natasha, Samina Qamaruddin, Paras Qamaruddin (all Noor-e-Karimi School), Meraj Bibi, Ayesha Zaman (GGSS Millat-e-Islamia), Sana Akbar Ali, Chahat Khan, Bushra Ayub (GGSS Dastagir), Kaneez Fatima (SMB Fatima Jinnah School), Shareeba Khaliq (GGSS Gulshan-e-Iqbal), Mehwish Mehar (Peregrin Academy), Rabia Shah (Dacca Secondary School) and Sabiha Taj (Khatoon-e- Pakistan School).—APP
