By Our Correspondent

MIRPURKHAS, Feb 8: Dozens of employees of the Left Bank Outfall Drainage (LBOD) project staged a demonstration on Hyderabad-Mirpurkhas road on Thursday to protest over non-payment of their two-year salaries.

Led by Mohammad Iqbal Panhwar and carrying banners and placards, the protesting employees were demanding immediate payment of salaries.

Talking to journalists, they said that they had made complaints to the authorities but no measure had been taken to ensure payment of salaries.

Their families were facing hardships due to non-payment of salaries, they added.

INJURED: A man was seriously injured by robbers when he offered resistance to a robbery bid in Kunri late Wednesday night.
