KARACHI, Feb 14: The French navy will carry out a week-long exercise with Pakistan Navy next month.

This was said by Rear Admiral Jacques Luanay, Commanding Officer of French Naval Forces in the Indian Ocean Maritime Zone, while talking to newsmen on board FNS VAR here on Wednesday.

He said the exercise would also include seminars on the shore. With such exercises, the forces of the two countries would exchange experiences with each other. The exercise, named EMAN 07, was being organised by Paksitan Navy in which four French naval vessels would participate. The admiral, who is on a three-day goodwill visit, said the navies of both countries shared the same objectives. — By A Reporter
