Thieves strike at lodges again

RAWALPINDI, Feb 20: A People’s Party Parliamentarians (PPP) MNA lost electronic goods after thieves broke into his apartment in the parliament lodges, police said.

Manzoor Hussain Wasan had gone to his native town after locking his apartment No 303 in Block C of the parliament lodges.

On his return on Sunday, he found the lock of his apartment broken and household items scattered. On listing the goods, a television set, a DVD and an electric iron were found stolen, police have registered a case and started investigation.

ARMYMAN KILLED: An armyman was shot dead by his colleague early on Tuesday, police said.

Nabi Baksh reported to the Saddar Barooni police that Naik Mohammad Aslam was on duty at Dhamial base colony when he ran into a brawl with lance naik Mohammad Irfan over some issue.

During the quarrel, Irfan gunned down Mohammad Aslam with his rifle. The alleged killer was arrested by the army authorities, while a murder case has been registered with the police.
