QUETTA, Feb 27: A grenade was hurled at the home of the Kalat district coordination officer on Tuesday. According to sources, the grenade exploded in the backyard of the house.

On Monday night, a bomb also exploded near the house of the Mastung DCO.

Meanwhile, police arrested at least 15 suspects in connection with a rocket attack in which a grid station along the Quetta-Chaman road was destroyed two days back.

“Police are interrogating the suspects and also looking for some other people,” Quetta City SP Qazi Abdul Wahid said.

The Quetta Electricity Supply Company (Qesco) suffered a loss of around Rs30 million in the attack as power supply to six of 13 feeders was suspended.

A spokesman said the company had made alternate arrangements to supply electricity to the affected areas.
