KINGSTON, March 16: Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq on Friday categorically denied any tiff with the team’s media manager Pervez Mir and the reports of rift in the squad.“It’s all rubbish, to malign the Pakistan team. They have bad motives against Pakistan,” he told reporters to a query before his team’s practice session.

“Despite all this we are all focused, united and looking forward to the match against Ireland,” he insisted. “These kinds of things surface when the team is losing,” Inzamam pointed out.

Meanwhile, Pervez described it as a propaganda campaign against the Pakistan team. “Inzamam is a decent person and I have great respect for him, while he has got the same feelings for me,” Pervez said.

According to some print and electronic media reports the Pakistan team lacked motivation and there was disharmony in the team, which Pervez rejected. —APP
