QUETTA, March 20: The Baloch Students Organisation on Tuesday observed a black day in Quetta and other parts of the province in protest against the inauguration of Gwadar Port and security forces’ operation in Mand and Tump areas.

In a statement issued here, BSO chairman Bashir Zeb Baloch said that law-enforcement agencies had arrested five BSO activists in Khuzdar.

He identified them as Zahid Baloch, Ali Ahmed Baloch, Wasim Baloch, Shakir Nawaz Baloch and Najeeb Baloch.

He said that such arrests and operation could not stop the BSO and militants to abandon their struggle for the rights of Baloch.

He said that some so-called nationalists were considering the Baloch struggle for provincial autonomy while the BSO had determined its destination for which their struggle would continue.
