PESHAWAR, March 20: The non-PoR holder Afghan refugees have been advised to ensure their return to Afghanistan by April 15, and avail the incentive of $100 under the UNHCR repatriation assistance programme.

Afghan Refugees NWFP Commissioner Nasir Azam Khan said that Afghan refugees without ‘Proof of Registration’ (PoR) card had been given an opportunity of repatriation to go back to their country by April 15, this year.

He said that no PoR card-holders could get benefit of grace period and return to their country within the specified period.

He said that un-registered Afghan refugees, who did not return by April 15, would be dealt with according to the law.

He said that the UNHCR had already set up a VRC centre in Hayatabad to facilitate the Afghan refugees during their repatriation process.—APP
