KARACHI, March23: The Managing Director of Karachi Water and Sewerage Board, Brigadier Iftikhar Haider, has asked KWSB staff to ensure smooth supply of water and regular flow of sewage in the city and submit detailed reports about the arrangements to him till March 27.

He ordered KWSB’s chief engineers, executive engineers and other staff to step up their efforts for supply of water and cleaning of sewerage lines in their respective jurisdictions, especially in month of Rabiul Awal. He asked the operational and field staff of the board to perform their duties with utmost honesty and devotion. Besides, he said, the water board staff should cooperate with the sanitary staff of city government.

Iftikhar Haider asked for formation of special teams to undertake surveys regarding shortage of water, open manholes, overflowing sewerage lines.

He urged people to have a close contact with the KWSB staff in their respective localities and inform them in case of any complaint.
