KARACHI, March 23: Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim has directed the chairman chief minister’s inspection team to look into the procurement process in the police department and submit his report within seven days.

The chief minister issued the directive when Home Adviser Waseem Akhtar brought to his notice gross irregularities being committed in the procurement process in the police department.

Taking notice of the issue, Arbab Rahim asked the chief minister’s inspection team to verify the procurement process and submit his independent report within seven days. He directed that procurement process should be stopped in the meantime. —APP
