KARACHI, April 14: The traffic police announced alternative routes for road users for Sunday as a rally will be taken out from Guru Mandir and culminate at Tibet Centre via M.A. Jinnah Road.

The traffic police said the rally was scheduled at around 2pm and for the convenience of road users, traffic would be diverted to alternative routes. M.A. Jinnah Road from Guru Mandir to Tibet Centre would be closed for all traffic from 2pm until the rally ends. However, all vehicles on emergency duty will be exempt.

All the traffic coming from North Nazimabad and North Karachi would be diverted towards Nishter Road from Lasbela Chowk and it would proceed towards Garden, Ranchore Lane, Jubilee, Ramaswami, Saeed Manzil and onwards.

All traffic coming from Gulberg and Liaquatabad would be diverted towards Jail Chowrangi from Teen Hatti Chowk. It would be allowed to proceed towards M.A. Jinnah Road via New M.A. Jinnah Road, Sharah-i-Quaideen, Sharea Faisal, Metropole Hotel, Abdullah Haroon Road, Pakistan Chowk, Lighthouse and onwards.

The traffic coming from Orangi Town, SITE, and Pak Colony would be diverted at Love Lane Bridge traffic signal towards Nishter Road via Ramaswami, Hasham Ali Road, Jubilee Chowrangi, Saeed Manzil and onwards.

Traffic plying toward Regal Chowk from Fresco Chowk would be diverted towards Court Road from Court Road traffic signal. It would proceed to Sharea Faisal via M.R. Kyani Road and Lucky Star.

No vehicle would be allowed to proceed towards Numaish intersection from Link Chowrangi on Shahrah-i-Quaideen. Similarly, no vehicle would be permitted to approach M.A. Jinnah Road from Soldier Bazaar light signal.

All the drivers, who intend to use M.A. Jinnah Road from Fresco Chowk, have been advised to take a turn from Arambagh traffic signal towards Baba-i-Urdu Road for onward journey.

All participants of the rally were advised to park their vehicles either on New M.A. Jinnah Road from PPP Chowrangi to 45 Congress Crossing, or on Sharah-i-Quaideen from Link Chowrangi to Numaish Chowrangi crossing, or at M.A. Jinnah Road from Guru Mandir intersection to Capri Cinema traffic signal.
