SHEIKHUPURA, April 15: Five members of a family sustained burn injuries when their four rivals set their house on fire over an old enmity here on Sunday in Kamboh colony, Farooqabad.

Reports said Latif Bibi, her sons Abid, Shehbaz and infant daughters Uzma and Naila were asleep when Farooq, Sultan, Ramzan and an accomplice broke into the house after scaling the boundary wall. The intruders set the house ablaze and managed their escape while resorting to aerial firing. As a result of which Latif Bibi, Abid and Shehbaz received serious burns and were removed to burn unit in Mayo hospital. Uzma and Naila were admitted to local DHQ hospital.

City Farooqabad police are investigating.

ARRESTED: Sadar police have arrested Nadeem, a ninth class student, who had raped and strangled a 16 year old girl in Gurdas, some 12 km away from here.

Police said the accused had made confession.

BODIES: Ferozewala police recovered two bodies from different parts on Sunday. Businessman Zabir, owner of a shopping centre in Rachna Town, was found murdered in his complex.

Ferozewala police said the murder might be the outcome of some business dispute. In another case, the burnt body of an unidentified youth was found from Dek Nullah near GT road.
