KARACHI, April 19: Chairman of the Pakistan Railway’s Aijaz Ahmed Qureshi on Thursday visited the Karachi Cantonment Railway Stations and inspected the facilities being provided to passengers.

He was accompanied by Divisional Superintendent Mir Mohammed Khaskheli, DDS Maqsoodunnabi and other PR officials.

Mr Qureshi directed them that more but proper seating arrangements be made for waiting passengers at platforms.

On Wednesday, Mr Qureshi had visited Karachi Bandar and Wazir Mansion station and was shown the extra commercial activities, including the second freight express, started there. He also inspected the arrangements for operating coal train to transport imported coal to upcountry destinations.

He was also briefed about the arrangements being made for operating KCR from Wazir Mansion, where maintenance facilities for KCR would also be provided.—APP
