HYDERABAD, April 19: The body of district population officer, Ms Farhat Bano Rizvi, was recovered from her house in Fayaz colony, Tando Allahyar, on Thursday morning by neighbours and police.

Reports say that after separation from her husband, Farhat Bano was living in a rented house in Fayaz colony with her servant, Abdul Karim since last few months. Her neighbours were the first to recover her body who informed Tando Allahyar police.

The police removed the body of Farhat Bano 40, to Civil Hospital Tando Allahyar, from where it was handed over to her brother Ilyas Rizvi after post-mortem examination.

Initial reports said that she was strangulated. Her servant Abdul Karim was missing and Ilyas Rizvi had filed a murder case at Tando Allahyar police station against him.

SEALED: Tandojam police has unearthed an unauthorised beverage factory in Sakhi Wahab town manufacturing fake Coca-Cola and Sprite beverages.

Police also recovered about 3,000 bottles, machinery, chemicals and other equipment and arrested two persons, Iftikhar and Jamshed who were working in the factory.

According to reports police raided the house on a tip-off which belonged to a police constable who had rented it out.

The factory had been functioning for quite sometime and selling substandard Coca-Cola and Sprite in the market.

The factory was sealed by the police and the companies accordingly informed.
