PESHAWAR, April 19: Speakers at a seminar here on Thursday stressed the need for inter-faith harmony and dialogue to ensure lasting peace in the world.
The seminar on ‘Interfaith harmony, hope for humanity’ was organised by the International Centre for Religion and Diplomacy (ICRD).
ICRD president Dr Johnson Douglas, Muslim Christian Federation Pakistan chairman Qazi Abdul Qadeer Khamosh, Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Liaquat Ahmad Khan and Salahuddin Ahmad, president of the NWFP chapter of the ICRD, addressed the seminar.
They said bridging the gap among various religions and civilisations through constructive dialogue was the need of the hour.
They said there was no clash among religions but some elements were wrongly using the notion for their vested interests.
They said moderate forces should discourage such elements by educating the people in the right direction.
