QUETTA, April 23: A family planning office was slightly damaged in an explosion in Kalat town on Monday morning.

Police said that the bomb had been planted near the office located at Shahi Mehal Road.

No casualty was reported but the blast also slightly damaged several nearby houses and offices.

Meanwhile, hundreds of telephone connections remained inoperative on Monday in Kalat after saboteurs blew up two phone company switch cabinets on Sunday night near the local exchange.

PTCL staff told this correspondent that the damaged equipment was being repaired but complete restoration would take some time.
