Man killed over land dispute

By Our Correspondent

ATTOCK, May 1: A man was killed and his brother injured when they were attacked by their rivals over a land dispute in Jhang village located in the Bahtar police limits.

Mohammad Gulzar along with his sons — Mohammad Saddique, Abdul Majeed and Shehzad — was busy harvesting wheat Monday evening when two of their rivals — Tahir Abdullah and Abdullah Nasir — allegedly opened fire on them.

As a result, Mr Saddique died on the spot while his brother Mr Majeed sustained injuries and was taken to the local hospital.

The Bahtar police have registered a murder case against the accused and started investigations.

CAR RECOVERED: Personnel of the Anti-Car Lifting Cell Mullah Mansoor have recovered a stolen vehicle from the possession of three persons — Anees Ahmad, Zahid Ali and Amjad Butt — during checking on the G.T. Road.

ARMS/HASHISH SEIZED: The Bahtar police have seized five 30- bore pistols, a 12-bore shotgun and 50 bullets from the possession of three accused — Iftikhar, Alam Zaib and Ziaul Hassan — who were involved in robbery cases.

Such as the Fatehjang and Hazro police have also recovered a 30-bore pistol and 120gm Hashish from the possession of two outlaws — Sabir and Asghar — during routine checking.
