BAHAWALPUR, May 8: Local traders and shopkeepers have demanded that the government should withdraw its decision to close their establishments by 8pm.
Criticising the decision, the elected representatives of over 20 trader bodies said the government’s decision was uncalled for.
They said massive loadshedding had already caused inconvenience to the people and now the government was trying to hit the traders.
As people turned to markets after 7pm in summer, they said, it would not be feasible for the traders to follow the decision because that would mean a blow to their earning. — Correspondent
