LAHORE, May 19 Wapda chairman Tariq Hamid says the country may face loadshedding throughout the year because of power shortage. Talking to newsmen at the Wapda Hospital here on Saturday, he said the present deficit was 1200MW.

Earlier, speaking at the concluding ceremony of the second intensive course for specialist doctors, he said Wapda was spending

Rs1.6 billion on the medical treatment of its employees and their dependants across the country.

“The WAPDA is the only public sector institution in the country which is extending free specialised medical treatment to its 147,000 employees and their dependants.”
