QUETTA, May 19: Police have taken over a dozen suspects into custody for questioning in connection with the cycle bomb blast on Friday night near the office of the Ispector-General of Police, Balochistan.

“We have rounded up 15 suspects,” an officer said. Two people were injured in the blast near the Gulistan Road. They were identified as Mohammad Ilyas and Tariq Mehmood.

“About half a kilogramme of explosive was fitted with a bycicle that was parked in front of a book shop,” police said. Two nearby vehicles and some shops also sustained damage. Another explosion was reported in Turbat.

Sources said that the explosive was home-made and was planted near a house in the Baloch Colony area of the town. No casulty was reported.—Correspondent
