KARACHI, May 19: Off-spinner Faraz Ahmed and opener Bilal Munir produced outstanding performances in the Zone III Blues’ eight-wicket victory against Lasbela District in the KCCA Inter Zonal Under-19 cricket tournament at the Asghar Ali Shah Stadium on Friday.

Faraz claimed five wickets for 60 to spin out Lasbela District for 197 in 49.5 overs. Zone III Blues, in reply, romped home for the loss of just two wickets in 38.1 overs. Bilal Munir smashed 14 boundaries in his unbeaten 106.

Meanwhile, at the KCCA Stadium Zone IV Whites outplayed Zone VI Greens by 215 runs.

Salman Ahmed cracked 117 with twelve fours and two sixes while Shahzaib missed the century by four runs that included ten fours but they powered Zone IV Whites to a huge 318-6 off the allotted 50 overs.Zone VI Greens, in response, crashed to 103 all out in the 35th over against the duo of Masoom Ali and Israr-ul-Haq.

In the meantime, at the TMC Ground, Zone II Whites defeated Zone IV Blues by six wickets thanks to a five-wicket haul by paceman Zohaib Shera for the winners.
