Faisal, Miandad grieved

KARACHI, May 22: Iqbal Shah, 64, father of Test batsman Faisal Iqbal and brother-in-law of former Pakistan captain Javed Miandad, expired here on Tuesday. He was suffering from Alzheimer disease.

A former hockey player, Iqbal joined PNSC as sports officer after retiring from Central Excise and Land Customs.

He was also manager of the PNSC cricket team which participated in national competitions before its sports department wound up few years ago.

His namaz-e-janaza will be held on Wednesday at Moon Arcade mosque near Stargate after Zohr prayers followed by burial at the Malir Cantt graveyard.
