KHAAR, June 28: Local militant leader Maulana Faqir Mohammad has vowed that his supporters will continue to struggle for the enforcement of Sharia in the Bajaur Agency. Talking to journalists by telephone from an undisclosed location on Wednesday, he said the campaign against “immoral practices” would continue.

The Maulana denied reports that his supporters had dissociated themselves from a campaign against trimming beards and other un-Islamic practices. “The Mujahideen will not compromise on their mission.

“They will never give up struggle against un-Islamic practices and immorality,” he said.

He said that some elements were trying to create a rift among militants and urged journalists not to carry news regarding militants without confirmation.
