Policeman booked

RAWALPINDI, Aug 30: A sub-inspector has been booked by the Airport police on charges of extorting money and torturing a citizen.

SI Khalid Mehmood, posted at the airport police station, was investigating a murder case when he allegedly picked up one Omer Ali from Tipu Road and let him go only after extorting Rs15,000 in cash, calling cards and other valuables, the police said.
