HARIPUR, Sept 15: The FIR of Thursday’s suicide attack on a Special Services Group mess at Tarbela Dam was registered by Ghazi police station on Saturday.Ghazi police quoted sepoy Ismail of Karar Company, SSG Brigade Headquarters, Tarbela Dam, as saying that at around 6.45pm on Sept 13 he was doing the duty of sentry when a civilian wearing a white cap with a long beard walked with his bicycle towards the SSG mess.
“I thought he was going for dinner at the mess but as he reached the place where soldiers were eating, a powerful blast took place,” he told police.
