ISLAMABAD, Nov 30: A government spokesman on Friday clarified that the number of aircraft in the VVIP fleet was three, and not 14 as was mentioned in a news report headlined “New VVIP jet acquired”, published in Friday’s issue of Dawn.

The spokesman said: “There are only three aircraft in the VVIP fleet, including one Gulfstream 450, purchased recently.

“The other two aircraft, Gulfstream IV and Falcon-DA-20, are quite old and their years of manufacture are 1998 and 1968, respectively.”
