Dilawar in race for best player award

KARACHI, Dec 3: Pakistan’s midfielder Dilawar Hussain has been nominated for this year’s Player of the Year Award by the International Hockey Federation (FIH).

The FIH announced on Monday that Dilawar is the only Pakistani among eight players who will be competing for the honour.

The award-giving ceremony will take place on Saturday in Kuala Lumpur, where the Champions Trophy is being played.

All players participating in the event will vote to select the best player.
