KHAR, Dec 6: The authorities have banned pillion riding in the main towns and trade centres of Bajaur Agency for an indefinite period. The ban will come into effect on Friday.

Officials said agency’s political agent Shafeerullah Khan had issued directives to law-enforcement agencies to ban pillion riding in Khar and other towns of the agency due to security concerns. Sources said the administration had taken the decision to improve law and order situation in the area.

Meanwhile, suspected militants destroyed an abandoned post of the Bajaur Levies in the Charmung area on Wednesday night.

In the Damengi area, miscreants fired four missiles on the paramilitary forces. The missiles missed the target and landed in fields. No casualty was reported.
