Kidnapped boy freed

PESHAWAR, Dec 6: An 11-year-old boy — Waqar, who was kidnapped from his village in November — has been recovered from the Sher Kair village.

An official of the Matni police station told Dawn that the boy’s sister had been married to Gul Hassan, but was divorced by him subsequently. Despite the divorce, Hassan had approached his in-laws to take her back, but they had refused, after which he had kidnapped the boy.

Gul Hassan, Sher Khan, Amin Khan and Naseem Khan, allegedly involved in the kidnapping, have not yet been arrested.—Bureau Report
