Weather imperils third Test

Published December 7, 2007

BANGALORE, Dec 6: The third and final Test between India and Pakistan, beginning here at the M. Chinnaswamy from Saturday, could be disrupted by rain, according to the metrological experts here.

The city has experienced sporadic spells of rain in the past few days. The experts say that a cyclone was heading towards Bangalore.

“In normal conditions, it hardly rains at this time of the year in Bangalore. But over the last several days the weather has been cloudy and chilly. And there is likelihood of a cyclone heading this way,” Vikram Ramaswamy, a resident of Bangalore, told Dawn on Thursday.

He added that if the weather remained as it was at the moment, the prospects of rain playing with the Test havoc cannot be ruled out.—K.H.K
