LAHORE, Dec 7: The ambassadors of France, Sweden and Spain were not allowed to meet Supreme Court Bar Association president Aitzaz Ahsan, who has been detained in his Zaman Park residence.

Talking to Bushra Aitzaz, Swedish ambassador Anna Karin, France’s Enestrom Regis de Belenet and Spanish Jose Maria Tobles Fraga expressed disappointment over the government refusal to allow them to meet the SCBA leader.

An official told the ambassadors that they would have to get permission from the Home department to see Aitzaz. French ambassador Regis de Belent, while talking to newsmen, demanded immediate release of detained activists.

Bushra apprised the ambassadors of human rights violations in Pakistan and the government’s plan to rig the elections.
