Army lead in junior cycling

LAHORE, Dec 7: Taking both the gold medals on offer, Army dominated the first day of the first National Junior Cycling Championship here on Friday. Clocking one minute and 18.28 seconds, Miran Baksh gave the soldiers their first gold by winning the One kilometre Time Trial. He was followed closely by Railways’ Wazir Ali at one minute and 18.85 seconds. Hasnain Ali of Wapda came third.

The second gold was taken in the team sprint, clocking one minute and 15.68 seconds. Railways chased after Army for the second spot in this event as well, while Punjab remained third.—Our Sports Reporter
