Man dies in Dera Bugti encounter

QUETTA, Dec 7: One suspected militant was killed in a heavy exchange of fire between security forces and armed men in the Pat Feeder area of Dera Bugti on Friday. Police sources said that the troops had launched a search operation in RD-238, an area close to Nasirabad.

Armed people hiding in a house opened fire on the troops who fired back. An exchange of fire continued for two hours.

The forces rounded up 15 suspects and seized arms and ammunition.

Meanwhile, some people hurled a grenade at a sweetmeat shop near the Jinnah road and two people working in the shop were injured in the blast.
