KHAIRPUR, Dec 9: A meeting of the central executive committee of Jeay Sindh Mahaz (JSM) expressed solidarity with lawyers struggling on Sunday for supremacy of law.

The party’s chairman Abdul Khaliq Junejo presided over the meeting.

JSM supported the lawyers’ call to boycott general elections and termed it a timely decision.

It reviewed the organisational set-up and decided some party-related matters.

Speaking on the occasion Khaliq Junejo said that the general election holding under emergency would be illegal and unconstitutional and taking part in such elections would be equal to legitimise the anti-people steps taken by President Pervez Musharraf and extending support to him.

They said that the JSM supported the lawyers’ struggle and their demand for the reinstatement of sacked judges who had refused to take oath under PCO.
