HYDERABAD, Dec 15: An independent candidate for NA-204 Larkana, Zulfiqar Qadri, who claimed to be a political worker and columnist announced withdrawing his candidature in favour of PPP candidate on Saturday.

He said at a news conference at the press club that if restrictions on print and electronic media were not lifted, he would observe hunger strike unto death at the mausoleum of Quaid-i-Azam on Jan 15.

Our Nawabshah correspondent adds: A large number lawyers withdrew their nomination papers on the directives of Pakistan Bar Council and SCBA here on Saturday.

President DBA Nawabshah and PML-F candidate, Ali Mohammad Dahiri, Fakir Mohammad Arain and Karim Bux Rind for PS-27 withdrew their nominations.
