KARACHI: New JI Shura

KARACHI, Dec 16: The Jamaat-i-Islami (JI), Sindh, on Sunday elected members of its Majlis-i-Shura for the period Dec 2007-November 2009.

According to the party’s provincial information secretary, Mujahid Channa, party members from across Sindh elected the new members through a secret ballot.

Those declared elected are Hafiz Nasrullah Channa, Imdadullah Bajarani, Dr Mehmood Illahi Hakro, Shamusddin Abbasi, Shabir Ahmed Khanzada, Abdul Aziz Ghauri, Dr Shamshad Ali Qaimkhani, Mohammad Ismael Gandro, Hafiz Lutufullah Bhutto, Shaikh Shaukat Ali, Abdul Waheed Qureshi, Syed Mohammad Iqbal, Nasim Ahmed Siddiqui, Farooq Naimatullah, Mohammad Muslim, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, Maulana Abdul Rauf, Dr Rafiq, Syed Abdul Rashid, Naveed Abdul Baqi, Fasihur Rehman, Nasrullah Shaji, Dr Abdul Wasey Shakir, Syed Shahid Hashmi, Osama Razi, Birjees Ahmed, Shaikh Rafiq Ahmed, Shamim Pasha, Azizuddin Zaffar, Shakeel Ahmed Siddiqui, Hameedullah Khan, Master Aminullah, Laeeq Ahmed Khan, Mohammad Hussain Mehnati, Abdul Wahid Shaikh, Raja Arif Sultan, Kamal Ahmed Farooqui and Abdus Salam.

Five provincial Naib Amirs Dr Mumtaz Ali Memon, Mumtaz Hussain Sahto, Naimatullah Khan, Abdul Ghafar Umar and Dr Merajul Huda Siddiqui, as well as provincial General Secretary Rashid Nasim will also be the members of Majlis-i-Shura.—PPI
